Buck Grangerford

Buck Grangerford was a boy of about thirteen or fourteen years in age.  Grangerford was a son to Colonel Grangerford, and brother to Bob, Tom, Charlotte, and Sophia Grangerford (Chapter 28; 180-181).  Buck devoted his life to killing off the family's enemies--the Sheperdson family. 

Buck Grangerford died yesterday in a feud with the Sheperdson family.  Buck's sister, Sophia, ran away to marry a Harney Sheperdson and the Grangerfords all left out to search for her (Chapter 28; 185).

Buck's death was preceded by Buck's father, Colonel Grangerford, his brothers Bob and Tom, and his cousin Joe (Chapter 28; 186).  A memorial service will be held for all members of the Grangerford family on Sunday at 3 p.m.  A burial will be held on Sunday as well at 6:30 p.m.  Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral.
